The house looks completely different now.  The paint goes very well with the wood floors.  What do you think ?

The floor is in and it looks awesome!  Thank you to Aaron and Charlie for your full day of help.  It only took us all day from 9:30 AM to almost 10 PM.

I left a little bit of mystery to our house for it's future guest's whenever that is.  I asked Aaron to outline my body while I was lying on the floor.  Then I made an area for the machette, added some blood stain spots.  In the future if some replaces the flooring they will stumble across this and freak out!  I crack myself up... Aaron says that may come after me in the future and think we got rid of the body.

We met our friends Mark and Missy over at Lowes to get some ideas on the plants to put in our front flower bed.  We got our plants and are waiting on the flowers. We wanted to give it a day or two of looking at it and rearranging as needed before we put the flowers in place.  I made another trip to Decorative Rocks and Stone in Midwest City for the rocks you see and another scoop of red mulch.

We went and got (2) bobcat loads of dirt and (2) bobcat loads of red mulch in one trip. I put a tarp between the loads and so it would be easy to unload. Edi wasn't in the truck with me and the boys but the song "Shortie got low, low, low, low, low... " and "All my friends drive a low rider" were playin in my head.  It was insanely heavy. BTW Decorative Rock and Stone in Midwest City is a great place to get dirt, mulch and stone.  Great price and great service.

Took a break from remodeling to go watch Chelsi tryout for cheer at CAHS. Congrats Chelsi!. Here we have a Freshman cheerleader for Carl Albert High School. She made the squad Monday -- we fit uniforms yesterday -- and she had her first practice today. It seems that we just sent her to kindergarten -- now she's getting ready to start high school! Impossible!

Totally not a remodeling picture -- but had to share!

My new under cabinet lighting -- mood lighting for the kitchen. It has 3 steps of light low, medium and high. Gary's willing to try anything to see if I'll get in the mood to cook or a little else!

We are so ready to use this!  The last time I took a bath, the bathroom flooded, as well as Chelsi's closet.  Gary thinks there was a crack in the tub.  Really, I was just splashing around and diving for the diving sticks I like to play with, but don't want to tell him.  :)  Anyway, we got this new tub.  No more Mr. Bubbles for us.  We have electric ones now!  So ready to use this.  Glass of vino, a little Frank Sinatra, couple of candles.... yep, totally ready to use it!

Gary's working hard!

This is the light over the sink.  Gary said it would look awful, but I insisted on buying it because it added a nice "POP".  He's standing behind me right now about to stangle me.  Actually, we were in total agreement.  Isn't it great?

As you can see, my wonderful, talented and most handsome husband finished the backsplash, and tiled behind the stove. Fabulous comes to mind! Him and the work he's done! He still has to grout the tile and put on the tile borders, but he's almost there!
