Call us and come see what happened here.  This is what you will see when you first walk up to the door and open it.  We are ready to have some parties here.  We had our first one on April 25th and it was a huge success, we had a "live band" and the whole place was singing along.  Sound like your kinda fun, well give us a ring and we will prep the stage.  Thanks for following our remodel and let us know when you start yours we want to follow along with your progress.

Here is another look at where it all began....

Here is full view of our newly remodeled kitchen and a peak into the living area.  All new top of the line, state of the art LG stainless appliances, granite countertops, oak wood floors (they are laminate, but look and feel very real), new lighting, removed wall between the two areas, added a new pantry, new texture and paint, new glass doors for the buffet cabinets, new faucet and plumbing.  I love it, it is so open and it feels really good to look and use it knowing Edi and I and a few special people in our lives did it ourselves.  We did not use a contractor to do the remodeling.  Our new AC was purchased by us and installed by a friend and we now have a new texture guy who did a wonderful job on the ceiling.  We still have a few minor things to finish up, like the crown on the cabinets and ceilings and some trim to finish but we are taking a well deserved break and enjoying it.  Plus our lake time is upon us and that means lake trips on the weekends!

Our new cooking area.  It is an LG dual convection oven with a warming drawer.  Everything is controlled using a touch panel, all really cool "geek lov'in" LEDs and cool functionality that I can program!!! Edi made brownies tonight.  And they smell delicious, but I have not had any yet because I am bloggin.  Hopefully the kids won't devour them before I get done with these pictures.  The matrix looking backsplash, white bead board, granite countertops, trim and 36 inch vent hood make it a really nice place to prepare the feast.

A closeup on the glass in our new front door.  We think we are going to paint it red or black, that we haven't decided yet.  So it is still white for now.  But it really makes our "curb appeal" ing.

Our new living room, the fireplace is at the back of the house, the bay window is in front.  You can see our newly painted fireplace, we even has some pictures up on the wall already.  These are new window treatments that Edi and her mom picked out.  I am very happy with these, the first ones Edi picked out has flowers on them.  I can handle that at times, but I wasn't hip on it in the living room. They did a superb job on the selection. What do you think ?

Here are some pictures of the hallway cabinetry that has been newly painted and all new hardware added.  The doors have all been replaced with 6 panel white doors and everything got new hardware.  We installed the trim in the hallway the end of last week.

From the front door!  The fireplace needs some work -- need taller "things" on the side.  And, we're getting some sort of entertainment unit for the TV.  It's on my sofa table right now!

This is the kitchen.   We still need to put the trim on the top of the cabinets and put the baseboards in the kitchen, this gives you the basic look.  We LOVE LOVE LOVE it!

The house looks completely different now.  The paint goes very well with the wood floors.  What do you think ?

The floor is in and it looks awesome!  Thank you to Aaron and Charlie for your full day of help.  It only took us all day from 9:30 AM to almost 10 PM.

I left a little bit of mystery to our house for it's future guest's whenever that is.  I asked Aaron to outline my body while I was lying on the floor.  Then I made an area for the machette, added some blood stain spots.  In the future if some replaces the flooring they will stumble across this and freak out!  I crack myself up... Aaron says that may come after me in the future and think we got rid of the body.

We met our friends Mark and Missy over at Lowes to get some ideas on the plants to put in our front flower bed.  We got our plants and are waiting on the flowers. We wanted to give it a day or two of looking at it and rearranging as needed before we put the flowers in place.  I made another trip to Decorative Rocks and Stone in Midwest City for the rocks you see and another scoop of red mulch.

We went and got (2) bobcat loads of dirt and (2) bobcat loads of red mulch in one trip. I put a tarp between the loads and so it would be easy to unload. Edi wasn't in the truck with me and the boys but the song "Shortie got low, low, low, low, low... " and "All my friends drive a low rider" were playin in my head.  It was insanely heavy. BTW Decorative Rock and Stone in Midwest City is a great place to get dirt, mulch and stone.  Great price and great service.
